Overview
RDP's Internet Reservation Module (IRM) is an on-line Internet reservation system that allows guests from all over the world to make reservations directly with your property. Reservations  made via the IRM are inserted into the RDP Property Management System.  There are no blocks to maintain with third  party websites or "per-reservation" fees.

The Internet connects over 400 million computers worldwide. E-Commerce has tremendous potential for dramatically increasing hospitality bookings. With Resort Data Processing's (RDP) Internet Reservation Module (IRM), millions of potential guests, groups and travel agents can check hotel availability and make reservations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. With the IRM a guest anywhere in the world can use their home or business computer to:
  1. View your property's marketing materials, including text, pictures, sound and video feeds.
  2. Inquire on availability and prices for specific dates. Security is maintained so the guest can only determine if you have a room, not how many total rooms are available.
  3. Make a reservation on your system (subject to cut-offs).
  4. Verify the guest’s credit card with a "secure" transaction.
  5. Process a deposit and print a confirmation on their printer.
  6. Print an automatic notice that the reservation was made.
  7. Allow groups and wholesalers to pick up rooms.
  8. Allow travel agent bookings with a password.
  9. Allow even those guests who are not comfortable booking on-line reservations to view availability and then contact your reservations department.
Why is the Internet Important to Me?
RDP believes that in the next 3-5 years over 50% of all reservations will come directly from the Internet. By interfacing RDP's property management system to the Internet, your property will receive its share of these reservations. When 50% of all reservations come from the Internet, a 200-room property will have 100 room nights per day from the IRM. At $100/room this is $10,000 per day, or $3,650,000 per year!

When 50% (or more) of all reservations are made via the Internet, imagine the implications of your property not being connected. A guest may find you and your competitors web sites, but if the potential guest cannot book your property on-line, a reservation will be made at your competitor's property.
