Returning Guests
Repeat guests making Internet reservations use address information stored in the RDP guest history database.     The "Returning Guest" option also allows Internet guests to view existing reservations.

RDP encourages the use of frequent guest programs for promoting IRM reservations.  The standard RDP system can be used for guest history mailings reminding guests to book through the IRM.  In addition, discounts can be offered for Internet bookings as well as frequent stays.  The RDP system tracks the number of stays for return guests.  In addition, a default rate plan can be assigned to frequent guests in order to easily apply, and track, frequent guest discounts.

When an Internet guest creates a guest history record the guest assigns his or her own password.  This password is used for accessing bookings or frequent guest discounts.

Travel Agents
In order for travel agents to book Internet reservations, they must have an existing travel agent number and password. The IRM allows Travel Agents with an existing "master" record in the RDP system to book guest reservations, access available discounts, and have commissions automatically processed.   The travel agent commission percentage is stored in the master record and is automatically calculated for each reservation.  A unique commission percentage can be assigned to each travel agent.

The Global Distribution System
RDP realizes the importance of being visible on the Global Distribution System (GDS) and sees the IRM as a vital tool for capturing Internet reservations.  However, very few properties can match the marketing dollars behind popular hospitality booking websites such as Expedia, Orbitz, or Travelocity. RDP sees the IRM as complimentary to travel agent and GDS reservations.  Our philosophy is to initially capture GDS and travel agent reservations through traditional avenues.  Once the guest arrives at the property, he or she should be educated to use the IRM for future bookings.  For example, the guest receives collateral materials (notepads, pens) while on-site that advertise the IRM website.  In addition, the guest may be offered a 5 - 10% discount on their next reservation when booking directly with the IRM.  With this plan, the room is discounted, but almost half of the fees and commissions from the GDS or travel agent are eliminated!

Groups
Group Members can book reservations via the IRM with a group number and password.  Both are found in the group's "master" RDP record.  Wholesalers can also use this option, allowing the property to assign a specific "net" rate plan while automatically discounting the wholesaler commission.

Owners
Condominium owners and their guests can book reservations using the IRM.  A default rate can be assigned for both reservation types.  Owners have the ability to view either a calendar of future reservations in their unit or specific reservations.  The IRM's "Owner" option allows for links, news, and information that applies only to owners, along with an option for viewing monthly revenue statements.

Brochure Requests
Prospective guests can submit an information request directly through the IRM.  The guest information is stored in the RDP Guest History database, and upon submission of the request an e-mail is also sent to the Property.  As a part of the Guest History database, the guest information will be available for future marketing efforts.
